Currency Converter — Free Online Tool
This currency converter turns an amount in one currency into another using live exchange rates pulled from a public rates feed each time you open the page. Pick any pair from more than 150 currencies — US dollar, euro, British pound, UAE dirham, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Indian rupee and many more — type an amount and get the converted value rounded to two decimals. It is especially handy for people in India who need a quick USD to INR, AED to INR or GBP to INR check before paying a freelance client, budgeting a study-abroad semester, planning an overseas trip or comparing a foreign online price with a local one. Every result is based on the mid-market rate, the number you see on Google or Reuters before any bank or card markup is added, so use it as a benchmark when you compare remittance apps, forex cards and bank transfer quotes. Banks and payment providers usually add a spread of one to four percent plus a flat fee, which means the amount that finally lands in your account will be slightly lower than the figure shown here. The converter works in your browser on phones and desktops, needs no registration and does not store the amounts you type.
Use our Currency Converter on AllConvertor — no registration, no download, works on iPhone, Android, Windows, and Mac. All processing runs in your browser when possible for maximum privacy and speed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these exchange rates live and accurate?
Rates are fetched from a public exchange-rate feed when the page loads and are updated about once a day by the provider, so they are accurate for planning and comparison but not for dealing-desk trading. Always confirm the final rate with your bank or remittance service before sending money.
Why is the amount I receive from my bank lower than this converter shows?
This tool shows the mid-market rate. Banks, forex cards and money-transfer apps usually add a margin of roughly 1-4% and sometimes a fixed fee, so the rate they offer you is worse than the mid-market rate.
How do I convert US dollars to Indian rupees?
Choose USD in the From box, INR in the To box, enter the dollar amount and press Convert. The result shows the equivalent rupee value at the current rate.
Which currencies can I convert?
More than 150 currencies are available, including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AED, SAR, SGD, AUD, CAD, JPY, CNY and CHF. The list comes directly from the rate feed.
Can I use this to calculate TCS or remittance charges under LRS?
It only converts currencies. For overseas remittances from India you can first convert the amount here and then add any bank charges or tax collected at source that apply to your transaction, which you should confirm with your bank.
